Has anybody attempted to 'Simmify' Historical figures?

Keeping to the medieval theme (or thereabouts), there's a popular (if not risque) TV series returning to our screens here in the UK on Friday.
It's called The Tudors, marking the life, marriages and court of Henry VIII.
And I was curious if anybody had actually created any historical figures.
I've attempted (not sure if it's a good likeness) of Henry Tudor himself

Psst, I forgot to mention.
Submitted by Sonia on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 04:26.Psst, I forgot to mention. This is a Sim version of Henry VIII in the TV version not the very portly Henry VIII we all know from the portraits.
The actor is Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and a little scrawny to portray such a big character like Henry Tudor.
But still, I think he's pretty PHWOAR anyway
I'm sure I'll try at some
Submitted by Lothere on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 04:33.I'm sure I'll try at some point. Whitehand is already an historical figure, but certainly no representations of him have survived. King Enna of Leinster likewise. (And Ogive of Flanders. )
My period is just a little too distant for me to be able to attempt realistic reconstructions of anybody's face. Probably my first chance to make someone who has at least a description to work from will be when I do King William's son, Robert Curthose, probably early next year.
I'm not very good at it anyway. I am only now beginning to learn how to use BodyShop to create Sims. I never knew you had more sliders and more control.

Submitted by Sonia on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 04:41.Do you know, I only discovered the delights of Bodyshop, about 6 months ago. And I'd been playing Sims for much longer, almost 3 years now.
I was particularly nervous about trying stuff, but decided 'what the heck', and went for it.
Now, I'm creating unique Sims, and clothing recolours too.
You're absolutely right about the sliders. They add a brand new dimension in changing face shape.
I honestly don't know how to
Submitted by Devin on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 05:46.I honestly don't know how to use bodyshop to make sims I thought once you created a sim they would be in bodyshop but I never saw any of my sims.
I have seen sims of Princess Diana that's about it.
Devin, it works the other
Submitted by Lothere on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 06:02.Devin, it works the other way: you create the Sim in BodyShop, and (if you export it to the game) then it appears among the pre-created Sims in CAS.
If you have SimPE you can export Sims you already created using SimSurgery, and then you can open them in Bodyshop. But if you modify them in BodyShop, it won't affect them in the game. I mostly only use that feature to "test" CC I am working on in BodyShop on the exact Sim that I intend to use it on.

Submitted by PenelopetheFox on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 08:15.That's a brilliant idea! You could actually get a glimpse of what it would be like for Tesla, Rasputain and Genghis Khan to have a chat. Of course, if I were to do this, I would probably only make handsome historical figures. Like T. E. Lawrence. Phowar!
Speaking of phowar, did someone say Jonathan Rhys Meyers?
I feel like such a newcomer to this game. I've only been playing since last August and have never played the Sims 1. Though I do use bodyshop pretty frequently. I've found that it runs a lot faster for me than CAS and is good for when I want to delete custom content from my game.
What in god's name does

Submitted by Lothere on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 12:03.Devin, Verity is the one who taught us the word, but everyone is using it nowadays.
I am not exactly sure what it means but it seems to be an exclamation one makes upon seeing a particularly gorgeous man. I think Verity did answer the question somewhere but I can't find it... maybe it was in the comments to her own story. She has some phwoar-worthy characters herself.

Submitted by Sonia on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 13:56.It's a random sound that people use, when words simply fail them and they can't describe in great detail how they feel about something that is so scrumptious and yummy that's it's almost too good to eat.
It's a very deep sigh, but with a lot of expression added to it.
(and that concludes Sonia's educational hour for today)
