Will Cedric have any mistletoe opportunities in his future? I wonder if Sigefrith (or should I say Eadie) allows mistletoe in the castle. Maybe not during AD-vent. Eadie should really get Father Matthew to come rule over her parish and let Alred get someone a little more fun.

But Cedric and Cubby do sleep alone together in the same room. In separate beds, unlike the girls, but still. The opportunities are infinite.

Alred would never. Not saying Matilda would, but that would break Alred's heart. I don't think Matilda would, though, anyway. Matilda never liked women much, in any situation or position.

The same way her relationship with Leof broke his heart. Alred wouldn't have wanted to have sex with any other person (man or woman) so the hypothetical threesome clearly would not have been his idea. And if it had been Matilda's... breakage.

Right. As for Cedric, well...I suppose I would not horribly mind his being gay but...he seems to like girls in my mind. Ladies, I have a sneaking suspicion that when he grows up we will want him to be straight! Or again, that may just be me. Still, it is debatable if he will be hot in a habit or not...
And Hetty, poor dove. Such a shame too, in one of those pictures she looks so pretty when she smiles. And she was looking in Alred's direction in that one too! Which could be secret-awesome foreshadowing that maybe, just maybe, things could start getting better between them. And if not them, then between her and a Cedric Sr...I mean, Leofric.

If Connie and Gwynn hadn't been staring off into opposite sunsets, that smiling Hetty picture would have been THE picture. (My current desktop wallpaper, alas, is the kids-only one due to Poor Hetty.) Hetty is so beautiful when she smiles, and Alred is grinning away at her. Meanwhile, Finn is definitely taking advantage of his cousinship with Connie to almost touch Gwynn's arm, and Conrad is staring fondly at Margaret (which seems to be giving Margaret pause), and Cubby and Cedric are cuuuute together even if they are just best friends.

Oooh darnit why didn't I put Baldwin in that shot? Shows you just what a forgettable fellow he is, I suppose.

I'm a bastard child myself, Tiffany! My parents did marry (when I was about 4 months old and my brother was about 3 and a half) but I was born out of wedlock! (Something I'm fine with, especially since my relationship with my dad is very...not good. To put it mildly.) My best friend was born out of wedlock, too - her parents were kinda hippies and just didn't bother getting around to it for awhile, I think. WIN.

I'm the oldest of 11 children, although only 8 of us survived. I'm a little like Lylaine, a foster kid, living with my aunt and uncle until they both died. I have no inclination to return to my blood family as they are a nasty piece of work (shall say no more there). Besides, I've 'found' my family, in my hubby.

Hmm I think there is some miscellaneous broken-ness on pages that aren't story pages. (Where can I get, Where do I start, etc.) I will have to look into that. I made a comment there, but now I can't delete it.

I think it has been fixed now, though deleting comments on non-chapters still doesn't work. That will take a wee bit more effort, and I have a chapter to write, dangit.

As long as I had an excuse to update the site, I also uploaded a picture of Colburga's mom, the famous Baroness, so you can console yourself by looking at her if you like.

In that case, I certainly wouldn't be able to stay up until midnight either. That does sound like a pretty cool schedule, though, I must admit. I always liked being up to watch the sun rise.

Anyway, Happy New Year, everyone! I'm just hoping 2008 is better than 2009... not that THAT'S a huge challenge... oh well.

That schedule does sound awfully nice when you put it like that. I love having the feeling that the whole world is sleeping except for me while watching the sky get light. Something I used to do quite often back when I was an insomniac.

2009 is my last year for being a teenager too. Anyway New Years here in N.Y. is always exciting when you have people around you. New Years eve last year I was in Times Square. Well technically 2 blocks away from Times Square.
