Small change in plans

This new Aia is proving to be a problem to me! I am a little unsure of where to go now.
Those of you who are keeping an eye on the site banner are probably wondering where angry Egelric went. I started writing this chapter where Alred is explaining to Egelric about Aia, but the two of them were behaving so depressingly I think I am going to call that one off. I know by now it's foolish to try to make my characters do what they don't want to do, but I can at least deny them the opportunities to do things I don't want them to do. I don't like to see either of them like that.
And we will be seeing plenty of both of them in the future. Anything I might have wanted to accomplish with this chapter I can do elsewhere.

This is the worst writer's-block-like situation I've been in since... ever, in this story. Why oh why did Aia have to go and get all secretly rebellious on me?

But this past week has been a mad rush of immigration-related running around plus some work-related weirdness, so it's been non-stop distraction for me, unfortunately. Plus I spent this morning taking pictures for two more upcoming chapters, since I never know when I'll next get a good four-hour block of time to do it.
But I did learn that the
setLotLightingFile clearcheat will actually reload the light overrides, and not just the Lighting.txt, which means I should be able to test and improve my lamp-related lighting more quickly. No need to reload the game every time. (>20 minutes) So today I feel like a winner.
