Sunday 3 January 2010

I have a couple of random things to share today. :-)

First, for those of you who like to browse the bio pages, this morning I created the Sims for some of the family members of King Malcolm of Scotland and uploaded the pictures.

Since I had to make Queen Margaret, I made the other children of Prince Edward the Aetheling, which includes Edgar the Aetheling, i.e. “THE Aetheling” that Sigefrith & Co. are always discussing as being the rightful heir to the English throne, but who is nevertheless gravely disposed to episodes of FAIL. In January of 1086 I believe he is currently skulking around the court of William the Conqueror, which shows just how much faith he has left in his own right to rule.

Second, I just read a poem that really tickled me because it made me imagine Blocky being tormented by Meggie. It’s called “The key to the tower” and it’s by Laura Kasischke. It begins:

There was never
There was never
A key to the tower

There was never a key to the tower, you fool

Heheheh. >8) If you like poetry OR Meggie at all, you should go read it. It’s only available on line for the next year or so, so if you’re reading this post in 2011 you’re out of luck.

Last thing, I have a picture that I took when I started up my Nothelm lot yesterday, before I unpaused the game. This was exactly how Alred had been standing when I last saved the lot, all alone in his study.

My last visit to the lot was when I shot the pictures for “Lasrua awaits her time to dance”, which Alred did not appear in. So in other words THIS is what the Oscar-winning Alred-Sim was doing while Meggie was rehearsing for her play downstairs. :-( You see why Gwynn worries about her dad when she’s not in the room with him.

Alred alone.
