I’ve made Sims for some more of the Scottish families. I only needed a couple of the guys for future chapters, but I wanted them to be genetically related to their relatives (if I ever needed their relatives) so I ended up making quite a few.

I don’t know if anyone cares about tiny new pictures of Sims to look at, but knock yourself out if you do.

In the chat the other day, I mentioned to Ann and ermine that I am having a difficult time finding hair for Egelric. I have almost no good short hairs, because noble men wear long hair in my world, and my peasants mostly wear really messy hairstyles. (And even they aren’t cropped really short like Egelric is right now.)

Britamund’s maid Adwen died on Sunday, February 15^th, 1086. We saw her in “Britamund concedes to an urgent matter.”

Neither Brit nor Dunstan liked her, but each thought the other did, and it remains a mystery how she got the job.  

I suspect her maternal grandfather Aylmer has something to do with it since he runs the household at Dunellen. (Incidentally her paternal grandmother is The Warty Mother.)

After the last chapter some people expressed an interest in seeing Druze and Midra as they looked in life. I was rather curious myself, so I put some healthy skins and eyes on them and did a little photo shoot.

I have a couple of random things to share today.  

First, for those of you who like to browse the bio pages, this morning I created the Sims for some of the family members of King Malcolm of Scotland and uploaded the pictures.

Since I had to make Queen Margaret, I made the other children of Prince Edward the Aetheling, which includes Edgar the Aetheling, i.e. “THE Aetheling” that Sigefrith & Co. are always discussing as being the rightful heir to the English throne, but who is nevertheless gravely disposed to episodes of FAIL. In January of 1086 I believe he is currently skulking around the court of William the Conqueror, which shows just how much faith he has left in his own right to rule.
